Pakistan and Qatar have agreed to reduce LNG prices, the Qatari government has agreed to increase the price of LNG to  9 per MBT instead of  11, which will benefit Pakistan by about 2 billion. Will arrive

Pakistan and Qatar signed a 15-year LNG supply agreement worth more than 15  billion in 2016. Prime Minister Imran Khan reviewed the agreement with the Emir of Qatar during his first visit to Qatar since taking office.

On the other hand, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa was also active in revising the agreement and played a key role in the background. In a recent meeting with the Emir of Qatar during the Chief of Army Staff’s visit to Qatar, the Qatari government agreed to review the price of LNG, which is set to be signed today.

A draft of the agreement has been prepared in this regard. Qatar’s Minister of State for Energy Saad bin Sharid al-Qabi will sign the agreement at a ceremony at the Prime Minister’s Office in Islamabad today.

According to the government, the reduction in prices will save Pakistan about 2 billion, which will be a great relief for the country’s economy.

It is believed that the revision of the agreement after the review in both the countries will further strengthen the fraternal ties which will have lasting effects.
