Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has said that the long march will not last for one day but for several days and will not compromise on rigging the people’s votes.

According to details, while talking to media persons, he said that he had spoken to Asif Ali Zardari on telephone, trying to have a joint candidate in the Senate elections, PTI fears that these parties will not vote for him. While the bribe takers, takers and video makers in the 2018 Senate election video belong to the government, no one can talk to us about buying and selling.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that arrests are part of the political arena, arrests will create difficulties for the government.

On the other hand, the PPP hinted at conditional support for the sit-in announced by the PDM in connection with the anti-government movement. According to media sources, the PPP has clarified that if millions of people come in the long march. Only in this case the sit-in will be supported.

In this regard, the task of bringing one lakh people in the long march has also been handed over to the two opposition parties. It has been assigned to these two parties to ensure the participation of millions of people in the long march of the opposition. It has been informed that the task of ensuring the participation of people in the long march from Sindh and Balochistan has been entrusted to other parties.

While the coalition of opposition parties comprising Pakistan Democratic Movement failed to work out a formula for the distribution of seats in the Senate elections, according to media sources, the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islami, Pakistan People’s Party and Balochistan National Party Candidates have not been decided yet, after which the JUI-F has decided that nomination papers of 4 candidates for the Senate elections from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will be submitted.

It was informed that in the last summit of the PDM, it was decided to field a joint candidate in the Senate elections. However, now that the Election Commission has released the schedule for the Senate elections, the PDM has so far won seats for the Senate elections.

The JUI-F has completely failed to decide on the formula for the distribution of power, which includes the Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assemblies as most of the opposition parties have members in these two Assemblies. Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections, but will continue to do so.
