    India's Buddhist legacy always keeps PM Modi's company on his trips

    In St Petersburg, Modi presented the head priest with a unique edition of the Urga Kanjur, a set of sacred Buddhist texts. The PM was the chief guest for the International Vesak Day celebrations in Colombo mid-May. It may be recalled that Kanjur, comprising 104 volumes, was brought to India from Mongolia in 1955.
