    Major development in creation of South Punjab Province

    • A major step has been taken by the Punjab government in the creation of South Punjab province.
    • Civil Secretariat will be established in Bahawalpur.
    • Regular work on the initiative will be started from 1st July 2019.

    Nothing really stands in the way of the PTI to fulfill its promise of establishing a fifth province as South Punjab.


    Punjab government has taken a major step towards the creation of South Punjab Province – Here is the detail:

    Civil Secretariat to be established in Bahawalpur:

    The government of Punjab has finalized the decision of establishing Civil Secretariat in Bahawalpur.

    The paperwork is in progress and regular work will be started after the provincial budget of the current year.

    Punjab government has also asked the provincial sectors to provide complete details. Regular work on the initiative will be started from 1st July 2019

    Details from the Minister for Foreign Affairs Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi:

    Two days back, while addressing a ceremony, the foreign minister said that South Punjab province will be established in the ongoing tenure of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government.

    He also said that the education and health sectors are at the top in the government’s priority. Moreover, improvement in the sewerage system, roads infrastructure, and provision of safe drinking water are main areas in the master plan.

    Conclusion:

    Promotion of quality education has vital importance for bringing real change. The previous government spent over RS.60billion on Metro bus project. If the amount was spent over such projects, the city would have presented an entirely different look.
