This is how Nawaz Sharif spend his time in Kot Lakhpat Jail

• Nawaz Sharif is provided with better class facilities in Kot Lakhpat
• Nawaz is not allowed to meet senior leaders in the jail, the opposition demanded to allow at least 50 people to meet him.
• He spends most of his time reading books and is provided with religious books in jail.

Nawaz Sharif is imprisoned in Lahore’s KotLakhpat Jail. He will be spending seven years in prison after an accountability court convicted him in the Al Azizia reference.

Nawaz Sharif in his application to the court had said that he wanted to serve the sentence at KotLakhpat jail as his family members and his personal physicians live in Lahore.

Nawaz is provided with better class facilities:

The jail administration told that Nawaz Sharif is provided with better class facilities. The better class prisoners are provided with a study table, a mattress, two chairs, a TV set, and a newspaper.

Upon reaching KotLakhpat jail, doctors had carried out a medical examination of Sharif and found him physically fit.

Nawaz is not allowed to meet senior PML-N leaders:

The opposition party has demanded that the government should allow at least 50 people to meet Nawaz Sharif in jail every Thursday. He also criticized the Punjab government’s decision to ban the senior PML-N leaders from meeting Nawaz Sharif in jail.

“If not 100, at least 50 people should be allowed to meet Nawaz Sharif in the KotLakhpat jail every Thursday,”

PML-N MPA WarisKalu said during a budget debate in the Punjab Assembly.

Nawaz spends his time reading books:

When a person spends time in jail, he thinks about his past and future. The most positive effect of jail is that a person gets closer to Allah Almighty. Nawaz Sharif like poetry, read poetry and religious books in jail.

PML-N workers had offered their Eid prayer outside the KotLakhpat Jail to express solidarity with Nawaz Sharif.

Nawaz wished that may Allah take Pakistan to its destination by accepting the prayers held throughout Ramzan.
