A record set in tax collection by Punjab revenue authority

According to a spokesperson of the Punjab Revenue Authority, the Punjab Revenue Authority has set a record by collecting Rs 9.40 billion in October last year, an increase of 24 per cent over Rs 7.60 billion in October last year.

According to the spokesperson of Punjab Revenue Authority, despite the situation of corona virus, the chairman Punjab Revenue Authority has appreciated the performance of the officers and commended them for collecting more taxes.

 

A spokesperson of the Punjab Revenue Authority said that the authority was conducting training workshops in all service sectors to promote the tax culture and the record tax collected in the last month has also been collected thanks to this modern system.

The PRA spokesperson said that Rs 32.29 billion was collected from July to October last year while Rs 35.46 billion was collected from July to October this year, which is 9.74 percent more. In the last quarter of the year, the sales tax rate on more than 20 services was reduced from 16% to 5%.

The spokesperson of the Punjab Revenue Authority further said that the tax collected last month as compared to October last year has been received without bank affiliation or advance payments and no extreme measures have been taken to recover the tax.
