The PRA spokesperson said that Rs 32.29 billion was collected from July to October last year while Rs 35.46 billion was collected from July to October this year, which is 9.74 percent more. In the last quarter of the year, the sales tax rate on more than 20 services was reduced from 16% to 5%.
The spokesperson of the Punjab Revenue Authority further said that the tax collected last month as compared to October last year has been received without bank affiliation or advance payments and no extreme measures have been taken to recover the tax.
