• In Oct 2018, Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced to convert the Prime Minister House into a university – Read that story here
• In December 2018, there was a proper ceremony held by the Prime Minister for this purpose.
• Now the practical work has been initiated to convert the luxurious PM house into a University.

 

Rs 2 Billion has been allocated to convert the PM house into an engineering university.

The year 1996 when Prime Minister Imran Khan promised to convert the luxuries palaces into universities:

Details about the type of university:

According to the news reported by Jang, it is going to be an Engineering and Technology University. It will be named as Pak University of Engineering And Technolgy.

The Federal Govt has kept Rs 2 billion in the budget 2020-21  for this university.

The political aspect:

After announcing the project in 2018, the PTI Govt has been under immense trolling by the opposition and had to face the jabs like “So when are you converting the PM house into a university”

This decision will surely have a positive political impact for the ruling party as the practical work on the university has been started.
