The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has taken action on corruption worth billions of rupees in Sindh province and recovered Rs 35 billion looted during the last two years.

According to details, NAB officials said that Sindh government officials, political figures and contractors also confessed to the crime, after which Rs 23 billion was raised in fake accounts cases, Rs 10 billion in Chinese corruption case and Rs. Rs 1.27 billion was recovered in the corruption case, while Rs 1 billion was also recovered in the Manzoor Qadir Kaka case. The NAB recovered all this money and handed it over to the Sindh government.

It was further reported that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) raided the National Institute of Cardiology in Karachi and seized the record. After the NAB operation, the doctors and management of the hospital quit their jobs. The Cardiology Institute’s raid marker has seized its record there, as the NICVD is investigating corruption and illegal recruitment and salaries.

Sources said that the NAB officials questioned the concerned officials of the HR office and got information regarding the sale and purchase of medicines and machinery during the last 10 years.

Meanwhile, after the NAB action, the doctors and management stopped working and The hospital’s OPD and emergency room were closed. On the other hand, NAB Sukkur is also conducting operations against the wheat mafia. In this regard, a team of Sukkur NAB sealed the Madiji Food Center while processing the complaints of thousands of sacks being stolen from the Madiji Food Center.

According to NAB sources, the sacks of wheat could not be counted due to the absence of the magistrate, so the warehouse has been sealed. The counting will be done on Monday in the presence of the magistrate.
