Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Faisal Javed has resigned as head of the Pak-French Parliamentary Friendship Group
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Javed has announced to step down as head of the Pak-French Parliamentary Friendship Group in protest of France’s support for blasphemous sketches.

Senator Faisal Javed, while recording his protest on the issue, said that after the support of French President Emmanuel Macron for the blasphemous sketches of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and anti-Islamic statements, there was a strong reaction from Muslims all over the world. Announcing his resignation from the leadership of the Friendship Group, the Chairman has sent his resignation to the Senate.

He said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had raised the issue of Islamophobia during his address to the UN General Assembly, but the French President’s statement and support for blasphemous sketches would not only promote Islamophobia in European countries. Imran Khan has told the world that the actions of the French government can harm humanity.

Faisal Javed, while resigning as the head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group, said that he was announcing his resignation as the head of the forum in protest against the extremist attitude of the French government, and at the same time recommended this forum should be completely dissolved that the two countries had established at the parliamentary level.
