• Adeel Warraich said in a video blog that the government of Pakistan has challenged India’s claim to have basmati rice as its product and at the same time Pakistan has decided to register pink salt in the GIT.

Pakistan decides to register pink salt

The government of Pakistan has also decided to register pink salt with other Pakistani products.

Senior journalist Adeel Warraich said in a video blog that the government of Pakistan has challenged India’s claim to have basmati rice as its product and at the same time Pakistan has decided to register pink salt in the GIT.

Adeel Warraich said that Pakistan’s request for GI tag of basmati rice in the European Union has been challenged by Pakistan but also to stop the theft of pink salt sold by India in its name all over the world.

Referring to Abdul Razzaq Dawood, Adeel Warraich said that when the government’s decision regarding the GIT tag of basmati rice came to light, people suggested to us that the issue of pink salt GIT should also be brought before the world.

Adeel Waraich further said that in this regard the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan has started homework for registration of other products including pink salt. By selling this pink salt under its own name all over the world, India was giving the impression that it was its Product.

Talking to Adeel Warraich in the video blog, Mian Shahid said that pink salt can not only change the fate of Pakistan but also add Pakistan to the list of richest countries in the world, it is also called Himalayan Salt in the world, our incompetence. It was that our attention never went that way and India was taking advantage of our incompetence.

Mian Shahid said that Pakistan has never revealed to the world that pink salt is actually extracted from Pakistan. If Pakistan does so, not only will India be humiliated in the international markets but Pakistan will also be appreciated.
