NAB recovers Rs 389 billion in 27 months

The NAB has recovered only Rs 104 billion in 10 years and Rs 389 billion in our 27 months, Prime Minister

Prime Minister Imran Khan termed the period of the last two governments from 2008 to 2018 as a 10-year dark period in the history of corruption. He said that during this period, the Punjab Provincial Anti-Corruption Department recovered only Rs. 206 billion were recovered during the period.

The Prime Minister also stated that the reason was that when the accountability system was activated and political influence was removed from it and they were allowed to work freely, they would benefit the country and the nation in the same way and call against corrupt elements. Do discriminatory actions.

The Prime Minister also shared with the nation the figures regarding the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) which are very encouraging.

 

NAB recovered Rs 104 billion from across the country during 2008-08, while in the last two years 2019 and 2020, NAB has recovered Rs 389 billion.

The Prime Minister said that if the state institutions and especially the departments working against corruption and accountability are allowed to function freely, how do they benefit the country and how can the money taken out of the country through corruption Is brought back.
