Good news for car race enthusiasts, preparations are underway to build a motor sports arena in Pakistan

According to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports and Tourism Department, the provincial government plans to build a motor sports arena at Khushi in Nowshera. This will be Pakistan’s first government-level racing track.

The Sports and Tourism Department has submitted the details and model of the project to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to which the racing track will be constructed on 1175 kanals of land at a cost of Rs 100 million.

After the briefing, Chief Minister Mahmood Khan appreciated the plan and approved it. He said that construction of sports arena was also necessary for the promotion of sports in the province.

He directed that a workable plan be prepared for the successful completion of this plan. This project will be great for racers as well as sports. The government can get a large share of revenue by investing in this sector.

Remember that there are two racing tracks in our country but they are privately owned. The number of car racing enthusiasts in the country has increased in the last few years. But due to the lack of racing tracks, the racers could not get proper facilities to enjoy the game.

According to the model and details of the project presented to the Chief Minister, the project includes a drag race track, practice tracks, off-road track circuits and asphalt track circuits.

In addition, workshops, garages, petrol pumps, service stations, shopping malls and food courts will be set up in the arena. The Motor Sports Arena will also have towers with viewing terraces for spectators. The arena will have a capacity of 3,000 people.
