Every citizen will get 720,000 annual health insurance

Every citizen in Punjab will get health insurance of Rs. 720,000 per annum which has been approved by the Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Bazdar. According to details, a meeting on Universal Health Coverage was held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar. Health Minister Yasmeen Rashid, Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister were present on the occasion.

Meanwhile, it was decided in principle to provide health coverage to every citizen of Punjab. Punjab has set a target of providing universal health coverage by the end of next year.

Media reports said that in this regard, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar said that every citizen will get 720,000 annual health insurance, in the first phase health coverage will be provided in two districts.

The meeting pledged to deliver justice health cards to every citizen. He further said that access to treatment is a basic right of every citizen and a duty of the government.

Later, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar in his message on microblogging website Twitter said that health coverage will start in all districts by the end of 2021, starting from 2 districts before next month.

He said that all this was done according to the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

This decision of the Punjab government was also well received by the citizens. Citizens say that the government has announced relief to the people in the health sector to such an extent that it is welcome. It is hoped that the PTI government will take more people-friendly decisions which will bring more relief to the people.
