Exports to Pakistan increase for third consecutive month in November
Pakistan’s exports rose for the third consecutive month in November, rising 7.67 percent to 2.16 billion from 2 billion in the previous month. According to media reports, the figures were released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics. The increase in exports was mainly due to double-digit growth in textile and non-textile goods.
In addition, imports rose 7% during the month under review, leading to a modest increase in trade deficit. Statistics show that as of November 2019, home textiles (20%), pharmaceutical products (20%), rice (14%), surgical instruments (11%), stockings and socks (41%), jerseys and pull-overs (21%), women’s clothing (11%), men’s clothing (4.3%).
Exports during July-November stood at 9.73 billion, up 2.11% from 9.53 billion in the same month last year. However, in August it was reduced by 19% but in September, October and November it has been steadily increasing.
In FY20, exports fell 6.83 percent, or 1.57 billion, to 21.4billion, up from 22.97 billion in the previous year. On the other hand, imports in November also increased by 7.77 percent to 4.22 billion as against 3.92 billion in the same period last year. Reached 99 million.

The country’s trade deficit also increased by 7.88% in November.
